Inside + Out In New Hope Oot Door Exhibit

The Official Opening of Inside + Out,  the New Hope Celebrates History Committee’s rainbow doors exhibit, took place on October 11 at Stella by Jose Garces at the Ghost Light Inn. The event was attended by over 200 local residents as well as bipartisan government legislators.  Local, state and federal representatives, including Bucks County Commissioner Chair Rob Loughery, PA House Representative Wendi Thomas, US Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick, PA State Senator Steve Santarsiero, and Township Supervisor Bob Harvie, came to support the big reveal of the exhibit.  Also in attendance were New Hope Borough dignitaries Mayor Larry Keller, Borough Council President Connie Gering, Councilperson Laurie McHugh and Chief of Police Mike Cummings. Speaking on behalf of the project were history project managers Sandy Santello, Sharyn Keiser, and NHC president Matthew Hanson.

Two special citations were presented to New Hope Celebrates by PA Representative Thomas and PA Senator Santarsiero, recognizing New Hope Celebrates and its position in serving the LGBTQ+ community since 2003.

“This exhibit is the culmination of my eleven years as a creative director with NHC,” said Gordon Pulaski, NHC’s Creative Director and designer of the exhibit, “It was truly a community effort by those who helped put it together and the hundreds of people portrayed in photos adorning the eight panels. It’s a tribute to all who live and visit New Hope – a celebration of yesterday, today and tomorrow. It gives me great joy to know I had a small part in immortalizing our community in such a creative and fun way, for future generations to experience and enjoy”
