KEN’S STORY
Founder & CEO

We all start somewhere. At one point I was a construction worker who drank water right out of a garden hose. But years later, after leaving construction, working in real estate and becoming semi-retired, I discovered that not all water is created equal.

One day, a friend brought me a sample of ionized water. At the time, it was only for investment purposes, but I quickly realized that drinking it made me feel better. So much so that I retired from being semi-retired and started learning everything I could about ionization.

I met with experts locally and globally, including Dr. Hanaoka in Japan who discussed with me his research and thoughts on the rehydration potential of ionized water. I also worked with different companies to ensure that our process could be used on any water source, anywhere around the world.

Finally, I was ready to bring Essentia Water (and my own proprietary ionization process) to the mainstream, never compromising my commitment to quality or my desire to help people feel their best.

Today, I’m proud to say that Essentia Water is available in grocery and convenience stores throughout the country. And while we all start somewhere, with Essentia, there’s no limit to where we can go.

Garden State Equality

1408 Main Stree
Asbury Park, New Jersey 07712
973-509-5428

GSE, in collaboration with community partners, led efforts to ensure nondiscrimination for transgender and gender nonconforming people in NJ, pass the most comprehensive anti-bullying law in the country, end sexual orientation and gender identity/expression change efforts in NJ (sometimes called conversion therapy), and bring marriage equality to the Garden State.

In this post-marriage environment, our main focuses are youth, transgender people, and seniors, and our work on those issues is informed by racial, economic, and disability justice concerns. GSE is working on campaigns to address safe environments for youth, improvement of health services that meet LGBT community needs, and respectful treatment of seniors. Beyond that, GSE supports NJ’s activist community by bringing an LGBT lens to the shared struggle for justice.

There’s never been a more exciting time for LGBT rights in New Jersey or anywhere else in America. We at Garden State Equality would be honored for you to join our organization, even to volunteer. If the spirit moves you, we would also be grateful for your online contribution.
