Keeping A New Hope Tradition Alive! Over the past 22 years, the annual High Heel Drag Race has been the highlight of the October fall season in New Hope. Originally hosted by the local Chamber of Commerce, the event was passed to NHC in 2015, making this NHC’s 11th year hosting it!
REGISTRATION FOR THE 2026 HIGH HEEL DRAG RACE IS OPEN!!
The High Heel Race is an all-inclusive event, which represents our communities’ diverse and accepting culture. Everyone in the race will wear high heels as they each carry a pumpkin up the hill where they will decorate it and return down Mechanic Street in New Hope.

The 2019 Race will be held on Sunday, October 27th at 4:30. Pre-race festivities, 50/50 raffle, drag race designer T-Shirts, live performances by Special Guest Performers by local and national Drag Queens and much more…

Party directly after the race, follow the Queens over to Havana at 105 S. Main Street for our Fabulous After Party. Cash bar, drink specials, lite fare, and the race winners will be announced around 5:30 pm! Don’t miss this one of a kind fall event in New Hope.
