The only Pride parade to cross a state line
NEW HOPE, PA, FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE –

The parade will begin at Lambertville City Hall before continuing down Bridge Street into Pennsylvania, making it the only Pride Parade which crosses a state line. The theme “Be Yourself” highlights the diverse and inclusive communities of New Hope and Lambertville. New Hope Celebrates was voted “Best Suburban Pride of 2014” by the readers of the Philadelphia Gay News.
Special guests Victoria Lace and the honorable Mayor Keller will serve as MCs for the parade at the new location of the review stand on South Main Street next to local sponsors Country Fair Chocolates and Whatever’s Hot and across the street from John & Peters. Watch the parade from excellent viewing points at The Lambertville House, The New Hope Lambertville Bridge, Karla’s, John & Peter’s, Havana and Fran’s Pub! The Parade begins at 11:30am and will conclude at approximately 1pm. Following the parade will be the much anticipated Vendor Fair and Block Party featuring special guests Eryn Woods, Jason Walker, Christine Martucci, Josh Zuckerman & headliners Antigone Rising along with entertainers Carl Max, Cyannie Famouz, Miss Pumpkin and more in the Bucks County Playhouse parking lot. We will cap off the night with a Pride Dance Party at the Raven.
“2014 was focused on raising awareness and gaining support for marriage equality in PA – which happened in the days following our parade and festival. Our theme in 2015 is "Be Yourself” which highlights overall inclusiveness and diversity.“ says NHC President Sharon Fronabarger. "It is very rewarding being involved with an organization focused on highlighting equality and inclusiveness for all, but especially for the LGBT community. Each year our Pride festival highlights and celebrate the inclusiveness of New Hope PA and Lambertville NJ through a week of events including drag shows, an interfaith service, FACT bingo, musical entertainment throughout town and of course our Parade and Block party. We also host other activities throughout the year, partner with other local organizations and are sponsoring a LGBT history project called Retro-scope. We are fortunate to live and celebrate in community that accepts and embraces diversity.”
Applications are now being accepted for the parade and vendor fair and are available online at www.newhopecelebrates.com. Under the leadership of Jennifer Wohl, Vice President, the parade has grown in attendance from about 1000 people the first year to almost 14000 in 2014 with the number of participants expanding from about 100 to over 400. Join the party along the streets of town and welcome the parade participants – motorcycles, scooters, floats, decorated vehicles, marching bands such as the Big Apple Corps and DC Drummers, walkers, entertainers, strollers and some of our favorite drag queens such as and much, much more.
