New Hope Celebrates Newsletter

March 2026

As we spring forward into March, a fresh sense of energy fills New Hope. Longer days invite us to gather, celebrate, and continue building the vibrant, inclusive community we cherish. March is also Women’s History Month, a time to honor the trailblazing women whose courage, creativity, and leadership have shaped our movement and strengthened our community.

An unforgettable season awaits with LGBTQ+ Night OUT: Starstruck, our dazzling Pride Pageant: Reigning Color, and the iconic New Hope Celebrates (NHC) PrideFest celebrations.

Upcoming LGBTQ+ Events

NHC is proud to bring our community together through meaningful, joyful, and inclusive events year-round. There’s always something happening, here’s what’s coming up:

LGBTQ+ Night OUT: Starstruck

Join NHC for LGBTQ+ Night OUT on Thursday, March 19 at Oldestone Steakhouse from 5:30-7:00 PM, where you’ll enjoy cocktails and light bites, mingle with friends, and pick up your tickets. Then head to Bucks County Playhouse for the 7:30 PM show of Starstruck, a world premiere musical with an original score by Emily Saliers of Indigo Girls and book by Beth Malone and Mary Ann Stratton, which explores what happens when you stop fighting the dark, and start embracing it. Tickets are being sold on Eventbrite.

LGBTQ+ Book Club: Mary Ann in Autumn

NHC’s next Book Club will be Mary Ann in Autumn by Armistead Maupin, available at the Lahaska Bookshop. Twenty years after leaving her husband and child in San Francisco to pursue a television career in New York City, Mary Ann Singleton returns to the city she once called home and reconnects with her longtime friend Michael “Mouse” Tolliver as she reflects on the choices that shaped her life. We’ll discuss this book on Thursday, March 26, 2026 at 6:30 PM at the Lambertville House. RSVP for free on Facebook.

Tough Luck Drag Show

Join at New Hope Inn & Suites on Saturday, March 28 from 6:00-10:00 PM for Tough Luck Drag Show with RuPaul’s Drag Race star Kween Kong. Doors open at 6:00 PM, with an exclusive VIP Meet & Greet taking place before the show. This is your chance to meet Kween Kong up close, snap photos, and celebrate drag. After the show, keep the celebration going at our Spring Fling Dance Party, where the music turns up and the dance floor opens. $5 cover for guests not attending the drag show event.

New Hope Celebrates Pride Pageant: “Reigning Color”

The 6th Annual NHC Pride Pageant returns Saturday, April 4 at 6:30 PM at Bucks County Playhouse. Contestants will compete for the title of Miss New Hope Celebrates through presentation, talent, formal wear, and onstage Q&A, all inspired by this year’s bold theme, “Reigning Color.” Hosted by Marti Cummings, the evening includes a 4:00 PM pre-show social with General Admission and VIP options available. Proceeds support PrideFest 2026 and BCP. Secure your seats today and witness the crowning moment.

Every Color Tells A Story Color of the Month

Green is the color of growth and renewal. It reflects the belief that what we plant together today will bloom for the next generation. In Glenn Ricci’s story, green becomes a living timeline from the very first New Hope Pride march to the vibrant celebration we know today. Glenn stood in the crowd at that first gathering when Pride in New Hope was not yet a tradition, but a courageous declaration to be seen, heard, and valued. Each year since, he has watched Pride grow stronger and more rooted in community. In the original Pride Flag, green represents nature and resilience just like our movement.

The limited-edition March Green “i am new hope” tee honors that growth and the people who helped make it possible. Available this month only, the color will retire at the end of March. When you wear green, you’re not just showing Pride, you’re supporting the stories, history, and future of our community.
