Another unforgettable Pride season comes to a close, and we’re taking time to reflect on shared experiences together. Our PrideFest 2026 photos are now available on social media, so relive your favorite memories, share them with friends, and don’t forget to tag New Hope Celebrates (NHC) in your own photos and videos. From New Hope and Lambertville’s PrideFest celebrations in May to National LGBTQ+ Pride Month in June, the past several weeks have been filled with so many opportunities to celebrate.

June gave way to July, America commemorated its 250th birthday. At a time when it can feel like there is more that divides us than unites us, celebrations like these remind us that history, community, and shared experiences have the power to bring people together. Whether gathering for a parade, a festival, or a neighborhood celebration, these moments reinforce the values of respect, belonging, and connection that help communities thrive.

Inside this month’s newsletter, you’ll find highlights from the dedication of our new Progress Pride street art installation, meet NHC’s incoming Executive Leadership Team, discover July’s Every Color Tells a Story spotlight, explore upcoming events, and help shape what’s next by completing our 2026 Community Survey. As we celebrate what has brought us here, we’re looking ahead with pride, purpose, and excitement for what’s still to come.

Building Pride
A Lasting Legacy and New Leadership

It’s been an exciting month for NHC as we marked two significant milestones that will help shape the future of our community and organization. On June 25, we proudly unveiled the new Progress Pride street art installation on West Mechanic Street, a permanent landmark celebrating the vibrant spirit that has defined New Hope for generations. Five years in the making, the mural stands as a visible reminder that everyone is welcome here and reflects the collaboration between community members, local businesses, the Bucks County Tourism Grant Program, and countless supporters.

As we commemorate this lasting addition to our community, we are also looking ahead to the next chapter for our new Executive Board. Beginning August 1, Rich Lucarini will serve as President, joined by Quinten Darling as Vice President of Events and Kelly Beck-Kay as Vice President of Governance. Together with our dedicated Board of Directors, they will continue advancing NHC’s mission. The leadership transition also marks the conclusion of Melissa Patterson’s seven years of executive service.

These milestones reflect more than individual achievements; they represent NHC’s continued commitment to preserving LGBTQ+ history, strengthening community partnerships, and creating inclusive experiences for residents and visitors that has made New Hope a destination for Pride.

Every Color Tells A Story Color of the Month
July arrives in White: a color of hope, possibility, and belonging. White represents the belief that brighter days are always ahead and that everyone deserves the freedom to live authentically. As the combination of every color in the visible spectrum, white reminds us that our community is strongest when everyone is welcomed, celebrated, and included. It reflects the spirit that has made New Hope a place of refuge, connection, and Pride for generations.

For longtime New Hope resident and a former NHC President, Jennifer Wohl, white represents both the community that embraced her when she first arrived in 1993 and the vision of inclusion that continues to inspire i am new hope today. Introduced to the town by friends Edward Kimble and Eric Lee, Jennifer found a chosen family whose compassion, resilience, and unwavering commitment to one another carried the community through both joyful celebrations and unimaginable challenges. Through decades of volunteering alongside Gordon Pulaski, she witnessed New Hope become a place where thousands gather each year to celebrate love, authenticity, and the belief that everyone belongs. The limited-edition July White i am new hope tee honors that enduring vision and will retire at the end of the month.

New for the summer season, NHC is introducing the i am new hope Summer Collection. These limited-edition tank tops will be offered exclusively during July and August in every color released so far in the Every Color Tells a Story campaign: Pink, Green, Light Blue, Purple, Blue, and White. Whether you choose the July tee or your favorite summer tank, every purchase celebrates hope, belonging, and the belief that together we can build a community where everyone is free to be exactly who they are.
