Banned Books Giveaway!
New Hope Celebrates is kicking off OUT in October with a Banned Books Giveaway on Saturday, October 1 from 2-4pm at Triumph Brewing Company of New Hope.
Banned Books Week is an annual event celebrating the freedom to read. It was launched in 1982 in response to a sudden surge in the number of challenges to books in schools, bookstores and libraries. Typically held during the last week of September, it highlights the value of free and open access to information. This year, Banned Books Week 2022 will be held September 18 – 24 and the theme is “Books Unite Us. Censorship Divides Us.”
NHC is keeping this celebration going with a special Banned Books Giveaway!
