The Friday, October 11th Event is SOLD Out… About the inside+out LGBTQ History Exhibit:
Produced for New Hope Celebrates, Inc. Designed by Gordon Pulaski – New Hope Celebrates Creative Director and curated with Sharyn Keiser and Sandy Santello, Photographer.
This community inspired installation was made possible by a grant from Visit Bucks County. Constructed by local craftsman Tim Molnar, owner of New Hope Renovation, Materials were donated by Niece Lumber. Graphic panels and installation provided by Don Roberts of Impact Signs of New Hope. The outdoor event space is hosted by Stella by Jose Garcia at the Ghost light Inn, and The Bucks County Playhouse along the Delaware River Promenade.
The exhibit features eight handcrafted mini rainbow-colored doors. Inspired by Gilbert Bakers original rainbow pride flag design. Each door is approximately 20″ by 40″ mounted on posts. The doors color corresponds with a theme based on its original intended meaning. Visitors are invited to open the doors revealing historical content with graphic Illustrations and photos of people, places, and events. With the purpose of showcasing New Hope’s LGBTQ+ contemporary history.
New Hope has become synonymous for its quirky vibe. NHC strives to foster and promote inclusion and acceptance for all who live, work, and visit. This unique, one square mile town along the scenic countryside and beautiful Delaware River where all are welcome.
New Hope Celebrates, Inc. (NHC), is a nonprofit organization established in 2003 – focused on highlighting the history and cultural nuances of New Hope, PA while stimulating the retail, hospitality, and professional community. NHC is comprised of an Executive Board that drives activities and events that serve the diverse LGBTQ+ populace through the creation and promotion of marketing opportunities, educational activities, and cultural events. Like our annual PRIDE celebration held in May and NHC History Exhibits and Out in New Hope Events – most notably the Annual High Heel Drag Race on Mechanic Street in October.
